This free calculator's advanced features give it a leg up on many similar applications. The interface doesn't simulate a real calculator, but since GraphCalc has a relatively large number of features and settings, we can understand why the developer needed the extra space. Unlike many common calculators, this program lets you draw detailed graphs in 2D and 3D, as well as analyze functions. The last feature includes such tools as finding an intersection of two functions and drawing the tangent line. If you need to work with statistical or probability equations, you can add the corresponding buttons to the main window. To enlarge the functionality, you can create scripts using if and while operators. You'll also find presets for determining such equations as volume and surface area of various shapes. We think GraphCalc makes a fine free find for anyone who routinely works with complex mathematics.

Good computer-based graphing calculator

1. solid graphing and solving capabilities - almost comparable to a TI graphing calculator. 2. allows for easy export of graphs to other programs.

I like the graphics, but what good does it do if you aren't allowed to print the graph for homework?

As the title says the free version sucks, all you can do is play around a little you can't print any of the graphs, and other features are very limited. Although it isn't out of this world expensive, it is about twice what I expected.

Pros
You can customize almost anything, including the viewing perspective.
Cons
There are some very minor limitations. As far as I know, only functions can be graphed. The 3D rendering quality depends a lot on your video card.

i think the product has merit and the functions graphed is a convenience if that is something you might need like in school. It performed adequately and the equations are just as you would write them in your homework.

There are many programs such as omnigraph that are very similar to this, but as far as i've seen, this is the only free one. It's deffinately a very usefull for most A level maths courses

3D Graphs -> huge improvement over using a calculator because it looks better and you can manipulate it to look from every angle and resize it. <p> <p>2D Graphs -> quickly find points on 2D graphs much faster than using a calculator.
Cons
I ran into one minor problem in over a year of using it. If you ask it to calculate the area between two curves and part of this area is below the X axis, it subtracts that part from the area of the top rather than adding it.
