This is especially convenient if you don't wish to have your Gmail automatically forwarded to your mail application for a variety of reasons. I'm looking forward to a future version which will have two additional features: 1) monitor multiple Gmail addresses. 2) Customize the pop up notification to show just the sender's address and (with the aforementioned feature implemented) from which account the new mail has been detected. Well done! [OS X 10.4.11 on 1.33 GHz PowerBook (PowerPC) G4; 1 GB SDRAM.]

It's probably the program that gets the most use on my Mac, since I check it's menu bar icon every time I start any activity.

First, when I respond to an email, my response appears as a new email. That is, I'm notified when I just sent an email. I don't need that notification, and I'd like the option to turn it off. Second, and I guess this is a general Gmail issue, when I read an email in Entourage and it is marked "read," it's still marked "unread" in Gmail and in the notifier. I'd like Gmail to recognize when Entourage (or any mail reader) reads a message and marks it read.

Sure the menu bar is active and the submenu appears, but when I click on any of the menu items to open Gmail NOTHING HAPPENS. Select "Go to Inbox": NOTHING HAPPENS. Select "Compose Email": NOTHING HAPPENS. Select one of the unread messages... you get the picture. I have to quit Google Notifier and relaunch it several times a day. Is it a Firefox issue? I'm running 2.0.0.3. The odd thing is that it works SOMETIMES, so I'm wondering what all of a sudden stops it from working?
Now works with Google Hosted Accounts!
