Confusing activation, then deleted itself.

Fairly straightforward to use.
Cons
Installation is confusing. After buying the product, you receive an email with a product number and have to go to another website to get the installation code. I both the combined product (KML to GPX and vice versa), but that program is not included as an option in the registration, so I selected KML to GPX only, after paying a premium for the combined program. After one use, the program deleted itself. I cannot reinstall it unless I pay an additional 10 euros.
Summary
Mc & Renox need to work on their customer interface--a lot.

The software is competent to find new places while driving in a new city. You can make use of this GPS converter tool in car or smart phone.

Takes long time to scan to display the way.

Pros
Goes 1 way, but that is all you need since GE opens gpx files. Nice large window to read description for a waypoint. Quick and simple to use. Unreg version does only 3 waypoints at a time, but its enough to try it out.
Cons
Problem: It drops all HTML formating code from the file. So I can not use it for my application.

Software appears to be fairly robust, easy to use and functional. Lots of options to convert map files to the various formats used commercially. It was exactly what I was looking for to translate Google Earth and Map files into a format my Garmin GPS would understand and do the reverse as well. The ONLY reason I removed it was price. The added features over the freeware competition are not sufficient to justify the relativly high price tag. I'd be willing to pay $10 or $15 USD. For $40 I can but a fully functional translation program with the a map database and most of the bells and whistles. Bottom line. for $40 I'll put up with the minor inconvenience and loss of functionality of using a freeware program.

It seemed like it might do the job so I ordered it on line.
Cons
I ordered via Paypal at 1130h and got the message that I would receive license within 48 hours. I emailed them straight back to say that was no use to me and I wanted a refund. After watching my mailbox for half an hour in the hope that the install code would arrive, I found a free and more powerful alternative called Routeconverter which got the job done and I went on my trip. <p> <p>Mc & Renox supplied the activation code at 1230h. I replied that they were too late and I still wanted a refund. They told me that since I had the code now, I was too late for a refund. <p> <p>I am tired of email ping pong with them asking for my money back. <p> <p>It says that there is a 10 conversion trial with the free download but in mine the convert option was greyed and I could only pay to make it work.
