A multifunction image viewer that handles some basic editing and plays back QuickTime movies, Goldberg seems like a beefed-up version of Apple's Preview application. Though it's not an editor per se, the program offers some basic effects, filters, and color enhancements. The QuickTime movie playback works well enough, but it seems more of an afterthought than a useful feature. The lack of PDF support is a shortcoming, particularly in how closely it resembles Apple's Preview. Overall, though, it's a solid image viewer with some nice bonus features in the effects and filters area. People who don't need the power of Photoshop but who need more than a viewer may appreciate Goldberg.
Crop and add QuickTime effects to several image formats.Goldberg is a freeware image and movie viewer with image-editing capabilities and support for applying QuickTime and other effects. It offers rotation capabilities, free zooming, and undo support. Version 2.3.2 fixes a problem with reading multilayer image files as Photoshop documents. It also fixes a problem with corrupted Preferences files, and the PDF item in the pop-up format in the export dialog box has been removed.
