Search your Gmail right from the start menu, powered by Cortana!
You can search using natural language such as "Gmails from John from last week with attachment". You also have the option to search by talking to Cortana and use the same commands as when typing. The result from the search is shown in the Cortana canvas. If you want to open a specific mail from the result, just click it and this app will display the mail in an easily readable view.
Other examples of search commands:
- Gmails from Jan 20, 2009
- Gmails to Susan from last year with pictures
- Gmails trips from last month
- Gmails from "Michael Johnson" between February and December with attachment
- Gmails from Anne in 2014 with pictures with subject Birthday
The app currently only supports US English, and of course Cortana has to be enabled.
When you open the app initially, you have to grant it permission to access your Gmail account (read-only). If you are not already logged in, a web view will open for you to enter your credentials and log in using OAuth. Remember this web view is between you and Google. Your credentials are not stored by the app (and this is a standalone app with no server/backend).
This app or its creator is not affiliated with either Microsoft or Google.
This is an early version, so bugs may appear - please write me if you encounter any problems :-)
