This desktop utility allows you to adjust the transparencies of open windows, but it makes things more difficult than they need to be. Upon installation, Glass Window writes to the system tray. Double-clicking the icon brings up a tiny interface with a few words written in Spanish. Unless you can read Spanish, you'll be at a loss as to what to do next. To proceed, drag and drop the interface into the window where you want the transparency applied. To adjust the transparency level, you must drag and drop the icon into the window and hit the Control key. To turn off the transparency, drag and drop the icon while hitting the Shift key. You can apply different transparency levels to different windows. While other applications are more user-friendly, once you get the hang of it, this freeware is relatively simple to use and would suffice for users just looking for basic transparency features.
