  I've played this for years and the new larger cards are appreciated.

  Cons

  The new scoreboard is different compared to the older version with scores at the top and bottom right. Maybe I'm just not use to it yet.

  Pros

  Game is more advanced than those offered by the big "card" manufacturers. Not having to "knock" when you have "gin" is a nice feature.

  Cons

  The "free" version does not allow you to enlarge the cards. Also there is only one variable (Oklahoma) available. There is no option to have a game that has three games to win a match.

  Summary

  A great place to practice your Gin Rummy Skills.

  Pros

  auto knock detection. The software will tell you when you make gin even if you miss it yourself. This is the only gin rummy game that knows how to do this.

  Cons

  nothing wrong other than you will waste lots of time playing when you should be working.

  Summary

  Added bigger newer cards with themes for catd, dogs holiday and vista style spring. Best of all its FREE!! Still and always will be the #1 on the most popular catagory for gin rummy because no other gin rummy game even comes close. Yeah baby!! (pump fist)

  New card themes, stronger opponent, Full screen background image. Download.com will have it in a few weeks, If you cant wait, come to the home page and download it

  The game is perfect. Nothing not to like. If it was not the best Gin Rummy game, it wouldnt be getting 250 downloads a week. Which is more than any other Gin Rummy game.

  Summary

  This Gin Rummy game is the only one that shows you how it plays with a vew opponent hand menu option. Without this option, the program could be building random hands and proclaiming a win. Also our game detects gin and deadwood automatically which no other game knows how to do.

  Pros

  You can go to "Program Files/VPRummy/pics" and put in your own desktop sized background picture. This will fill your entire screen. Just go to the "select background" menu and chose it. I like the "Hide Desktop" option with the smaller backgrounds.

  Cons

  They need to include some larger backgrounds for HD wide screens.

  Summary

  Great program. I have used this program for YEARS. It has continued to attract me for a game of Gin against the computer. The developer made it compatible with Vista and that means the program is still being supported. De-select animation on slower processors. When animation is selected the program seems to run at the speed of your processor. It runs slower on my 366mHz. Faster on my 600mHz, and it flies on my 2GHz laptop. Understandable. I use 21 pixels in the "card spacing" option. It gives you more space between the cards. If you maintain your computer properly you should have no problems with this program. It has worked on every one I have owned.

• Seriously flawed.

  Cons

  Program is slow to respond. Program went gin on first card drawn 14 times in a row. Program discarded multiple cards to the waste pile repeatedly, one instance while knocking; resulting in three winning scores off one hand. When scoring, the program gives preference to sets (3 or 4 of a kind) before straights (3 or more in a row of the same suit), and so often does not give the player the best score possible. Twice the program froze when it lost by more than 50 points. The advertising screen for online poker venues which must be closed before the program will shut down is very annoying.
