  The software provided detailed solutions. I was pleasantly surprised that it was able to solve everything, including problems from the advanced curriculum. It came very handy while helping my daughter. Prompt email support.

  None that I can find.

  I used it to study for an exam. It performed perfectly and showed all the steps. This version solves equations only.

  Pros

  Solves step by step. I was able to run advanced equations from AP program and the solutions were all correct. It is Free.

  Cons

  It is a Demo for the full program, Equations are enabled, but the rest of the subjects are disabled, but still there as menu items. Somewhat confusing since the option to enter is still there.

  Powerful tool for self learning and practicing to solve algebraic equations.

  Solved equations as well as systems as advertised, step by step. Nice explanations. Great help as I was able to input my own problems.

  Cons

  The software covers many math topics but only equations are free for user defined problems. For other topics it solves step by step only the predefined problems from the database.

  Summary

  Works as advertised, great math help. The download does not have CNET Installer. Installation is directly form the publisher. I did not see any adware offers or installs.

  This is an educational tool, not for scientific calculations.

  Summary

  This software proved to be very useful. Cannot beat the step by step explanations. It solved everything I tried. The software seems to have many more capabilities but only equations are free. The rest is grayed out. I tried other step by step solvers but this is the only one that seems to make no mistakes.

  Pros

  Fantastic, it solved all the problems I tried. Voice comments are great - took me through the solutions step by step. Some solution methods I was not familiar with, but it was easy to follow to the end.

  Cons

  I wish the rest of the topics were free as well, not just equations.

  Great math help. Solved all equations and systems that I tried. Used it as help for my Advanced Algebra class and it worked great. I was worried due to reviews that it may install some adware but since it was coming from CNET, I took a chance. I am glad I did. Recently I downloaded a Free YouTube Downloader from CNET and it had similar complaints about the search toolbar. I made sure to say NO to all CNET offers and ended up with a clean install. Remarkable how many people cannot follow simple instructions.

  Can't seem to get the program to work; I keep getting the error message: "illegal expression or incorrect expression for this version of UMS" I would be willing to pay for a good algebra equation solver but this one says 60 day license; what does THAT mean?

  This Algebra Equation Solver is FREE. It will solve equations or systems of simultaneous equations step-by-step. Equations can be rational, irrational, logarithmic, exponential, with absolute value and with parameters.

  Cons

  The software is designed for school and first year university students.

  This review is in response to the review above (@sracey). We would like to assure everyone that this Algebra Equation Solver is FREE. It does not require any payment or registration. You can start solving equation as you start the software and connect to the server. There are other parts of mathematics such as inequalities, functions, derivatives, matrices, etc. that require registration but Equations are FREE. There are no requirements to subscribe to any pay based service or register your name in order to solve equations.
