Free ISO Mount lets you mount and unmount existing ISO files, and you can also create new ISO files. Thanks to the software's straightforward interface, it's easy to see your options and complete the tasks you need to quickly.

Pros

Clear process: This app offers several straightforward functions through a utilitarian but clear interface. Users of all experience levels can quickly find the options for mounting, unmounting, and creating ISO files and initiate the desired process for themselves.

Cons

No Help: There is no Help resource or other guide available for this software. While using it is generally straightforward, it would be nice to have some sort of reference or explanatory document to refer to.

Failed efforts: During testing, our efforts to mount and create ISO files were not always successful. This didn't seem to have anything to do with the files being used, as we could start over with the same files and get a different result at a different time. And since there was no Help file, there was no way to troubleshoot the problem.

Bottom Line

Free ISO Mount can get the job done if you need it to. It lets you mount, unmount, and create ISO files, although not very reliably. But it is free, and the interface is intuitive enough that just about any user can find their way around with little trouble. While probably not a good choice for power users, this can be a good tool to have on hand if you only occasionally work with these file types.

i downloaded the file from the direct download link, it was a .msi, so thought it was ok, so i ran it and it deposited a .rar file and offered a password to extract the file inside, i extracted the file and immediately avira said it was a virus

No ISO app that i can find. Only change I see is some malware protection program i DIDNOT install popping up in start menu. Uninstall, then install ISO app again and it comes back. No ISO app to run that I can find, nowhere.

As I was going through the install process, this crappy software installed the following malware on my system: SearchProtect and PriceLeesso. All the good reviews are fake. Look at the names of reviewers. They are all similar. Look at when they reviewed and when they joined download.com. You will see these accounts were created just for review. Please beware.
