• Quickly converts a file from FLV to WMV format

  Pros

  Very simple interface. I used the default settings to convert a 1:20 minute file to WMV with excellent results. Software is free. Unlike another reviewer's findings, I saw no indication otherwise.

  Cons

  A several attempts to convert the same file to AVI format resulted in a file that crashed Windows Media Player when opened. It also would not open in Quicktime.

  The product worked as described and was easy to use. It would get 4 stars except for the con.

  Cons

  The "free" version can not be registered and will only work for one day!! There's a link to click to get your free registration but that has been closed and instead you are given the option to purchase the "full" version. Only option is to uninstall.

  Summary

  Bottom line is that this product should be removed immediately. If it's free then should be free.

  Simple User Interface. Able to Adjust Video BitRate and Resolution. Decent Output Quality.

  Cons

  As you would expect; converting the file into a higher resolution than the FLV will result in artifacts within the video when played back. If you want to Convert several versions of the same FLV File you'll have to save them in different folders.

  Summary

  I'm a Graphic and Video Artist and a client gave me some FLV files to work with, but I had to convert them into WMV files in order to play them back in a Power Point Presentation. The Quality of the conversion is decent and I like the simple and easy to use interface as it allows me to get the job done easily.
