  keeps adding subtitles even when disabled. Sound rarely is in sync with video

  Found I was only able to convert previously backed-up files to MP4 format.

  Summary

  Just installed & tied software today. Simple to use; help is like "copy DVDs for Dummies", very easy to understand. Tried to set start/stop time to test copy just a few minutes of a DVD... not sure if I was unsuccessful in partial record or just impatient? (it's tricky to set a 5 minute interval on a 160+-minute film). Anyway, you skip all the trailers and warnings and just record the actual movie... interviews, gag reels, etc can also be optionally recorded as separate chapters. I copied an entire 2+ hour DVD in 40 minutes- PC went into sleep mode sometime during that and I had to re-awaken, so unsure of actual time; also makes me question if autoshutoff really works. BUT playback is PERFECT, looks and sounds same quality as original; I also copied the entire movie to microSD that plays flawlessly on an Android tablet... there is ZERO lag in jump-to and FF. A limited number of output resolutions are available... but 720HD is more than enough for 7" screen. Overall, very very impressive. Just a few years ago this kind of tech wasn't legally available to the general public.

  Pros

  I have tried a few free dvd converters, but this one is far the best for me. It's faster than some other more popular ones, and I'm loving the easy output options already prepared for you with each one simply explained.The interface is friendly and nicely set out. i can 100% recommend this one and not sure why anyone would give it one star

  did hang once like other reviewer mentioned, but this programe can only get better so, no cons really

  - free - just works even when many others don't (eg, FormatFactory fails on many DVDs) - super fast: a few times faster than most others I've seen (about 15min per DVD with native resolution)

  sometimes seems to hang but easily fixed with restart
