This utility adds variety to folder icons so that you can spot the one you need at a glance. The simple Folder Style interface makes it easy to change the look of an individual folder, although changing a large group takes a while. The program comes with a large collection of icons, including some for the Mac, or you can use your own images. Folder Style doesn't classify icons, which makes it difficult to view large collections. The program also doesn't let you automate icon changes based, for example, on when you last accessed the folder or file type. However, if all you want to do is customize folder icons, Folder Style may suffice.

I hate "cnet download installer". Cnet uses to give us "clean donwload", whay did they do that. Many revie have criticized it (and qualified the instller (not the program itself) of scrapware. Now i prefer to download from elsewhere.

Make sure you whant this "installer" or look eslewhere (easy)

I like the flags. I like the fact that these are not just folders with colors and shapes within the borders of a regular folder. Some are unique shapes.

Despite their assertions, clicking on "Upgrade Later" closes the program without performing its function. Their claims run from "you can use it for free if you don't care about the popup nag windows" to "14 day free trial." Neither is true. Their online FAQ results in an e-mail form and the statement that they might get to you if they have time if you're not registered. These people deserve nothing but contempt.

Theres's not really much else to say about it that hasn't already been said in the short description. It's great at its job (adding icons to folders); but, as said, it's a pity about the price ($20).

I have had been using Folder Style v1.3 for a while now, with no problems at all. This v1.4 works just as good with added ico's. When I emailed 6Bytes Software to receive my updated v1.4 standard program @ "3 in the morning", I was amazed to receive a reply in just seconds with a password and user name to get my download! P.S. REMEMBER: Folder Style cannot change the folders on the My Computer window page because of MS Windows XP limitations!!!!! It works great on every other folders.
