It lets you customize your Windows Explorer folders in a couple of different ways, either using the context menu (right click) or by starting the Folder Marker program and browsing. It enables you to quickly customize folder icons to indicate a priority level or project status (high, low, done, half-done, planned, etc.) or you can use it to mark a folder with a special icon or color of your choice. This software does not work as promissed

A good concept which is not executed well.
Cons
Its a good concept if it was working. Unfortunately, there is no customer support for this software. I upgraded to a paid version and the paid version stopped working. When I contacted customer support I did not receive any reply to solve the problem. They disregarded my email. Check out the folder marker's customer support page. Click on "contact us" and you will see a page can not be displayed message. Do not waste your money on this software. A software without support does not worth it.

I miss this program. I recently got Win7 and this is one of the programs that doesn't work with Win7. Hopefully they will update it so it does. Oddly, the folders that I had marked on my old hard drive are still marked in Win7 but I can't mark new ones. The option does not appear in the right click menu.

allows for changing of the folder icon. 20 supplied icons to identify projects as stated in description. add 10 icons of your own or from windows to accent your folders. can make certain icons the system standard for all similar icons (i.e. folders). works fine in the 20 minutes I used it. very easy to use. 2 step process, locate folder, locate icon. click apply.
Cons
none so far. maybe be able to add more personalized icons and allow to add more from your own (limit is about 10).
