Pros
The technical support was very helpful. I reinstalled the program from my old PC with Windows 7 to a new one with Windows 10. The Serial Number and Registration Key could be transferred forward.

I've used FolderLock since 2013, and have gone thru several PCs with it - backing up highly sensitive tax/personal data to an external drive (in native format / unencrypted), and then restoring it (re-encrypting it) with Folder Lock on each successive new PC. The encryption and archival of such records is VITAL. All PCs die. Most will spend time in tech shops. Many will be gifted / sold / recycled to others. Every time I've contacted Folder Lock and quickly gotten a replacement password, as the software can only be installed on one PC at a time (and it knows the machine's ID#). The software is an essential part of real life - and the support is excellent.
Cons
One license, one machine - I wonder if some day the encrypted folder can be cloned to my cloud account for even deeper backups?
Summary
Most of our Desktops / Laptops carry our most vital data. Identity theft (and loss of critical information when machines break) will happen. Encryption + Backups + Solid support is an essential element in all our lives.
