Rename files on your Mac.

filewrangler is an intuitive batch renaming software. With version 2 of filewrangler, an entirely new user interface for managing complex file renaming tasks is introduced. A radical departure from other, similar programs, filewrangler introduces a "DIY" interface that offers maximum flexibility in a minimum of screen real estate; robust filtering and renaming utilities with a very shallow learning curve. Introducing panels: Panels are discrete blocks of functionality, each one devoted to doing one and only one thing. Panels are added to a "chain" in the main interface, and the order of the chain describes the order of elements in your file name. The interface is yours to modify at your discretion and is therefore never any more complex nor simplified than your needs and comfort level.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />This is a very comprehensive file renaming tool. It saved me a lot of time today and I would highly recommend it. I did not need to read the manual and was able to use it intuitively. However, I'm glad the manual is there if I need it.
Fails to rename files consistantly.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />The interface is very nice. When I enter and change my criteria and THEN rename it does not completely rename all docs. It gets stuck "for some reason" with no error message. It renames a batch of files sometimes and doesn't rename all files at other times.
