Free version unuseable but not a hoax

Pros
Interprets frist two letter of passwords correctly for all but the main password.
Cons
Free version unusable, since it's only the first two letters, and not for the main password. Not the typical 30 days free which would actually allow for a true evaluation. Confusing to install due to incorrect cleanup of earlier installs. Confusing user interface.
Summary
Might be OK, but distribution model prevents evaluation without $60 up front.
Software is most likely a hoax- do not download.

Summary
Upon starting the application, a notice appears indicating that the file is out of date and to "click here" to update. Clicking the link connects you to the programmer's website. It will not run if there is no Internet access. I visited the website and downloaded the latest "free" version again, which exhibited the same behavior. Neither download would open a FMPro version 5 file.
