• Powerful, yet confusing and ultimately overwhelming

  Pros

  It had many options on what it could do with files. There were ways to replace words, insert suffixes and prefixes, edit the timestamp, even music files' ID3 tags.

  Cons

  The software is quite confusing. Renaming the files involves refreshing a folder, previewing the changes, and applying the changes (which is all learned through trial and error, the software does not make ritual this self-evident).<p>One HUGE problem is that the software can't count! At all!<p>I had files needing renaming that ranged from 01 to 53, and it ordered it like so: 01, 10, 11, 12 ... 19, 02, 20, 21, 22.<p>This is not good when I'm trying to rename the files in order, such as 01, 02, 03, up to 53! What the hell!?<p>In general, I'm sure there are other pieces of software that are worth your time and your money. This doesn't work nearly as well for either.

  Pros

  It's a great software for folder renaming, one of the very few around, if not the only one. RenameWiz and other software can't compare to this for sure. This is a geek's handy tool.

  Cons

  So far I've not seen any flaws. Maybe the interface needs some little graphic design work without compromising the user interface.
