• Caution: You can get hooked on FewClix!

  Pros

  Outlook's native search is practically primitive compared to the many mailbox search and organization features that FewClix provides. With FewClix installed, I can find anything (and I mean anything) in my mailbox in a matter of seconds. The UI is user-friendly and performing a search is a piece of cake. Unlike with Outlook, you can perform even complicated searches directly from the tool and without opening multiple dialog boxes. I couldn't believe how much the free version of the tool itself delivered. Not a rip-off like other so-called "free" tools.

  Cons

  It currently supports only Windows OS and is available only for Notes and Outlook email clients.

  Summary

  Once you use FewClix, it's hard to go back. It makes your life so easy that you'll wonder how you ever managed without it earlier. I do!

  Pros

  Tried on my Outlook 2013. Works like a charm! This is a lifesaver for someone like me who keeps looking for stuff on an ever-growing mail stack. I can now forget about filing and organizing every mail I get into umpteen folders. I could get right to the mail I was looking for, each time I tried it. Very clean minimalistic UI, embedded right into Outlook. Fast searches on every parameter i could ask for.Searches attachments, mail content, subject, file types, senders.. the works.

  Cons

  Needs few minutes for first-time indexing on large mailboxes like mine. Wish it could do the same magic on my calendar soon.

  Summary

  It is now an essential part of Outlook for me. If I know it's somewhere in my mail, I now know I can find it in a snap!

  Pros

  FewClix provides multiple search options that I can use simultaneously to narrow down a bunch of search results to the one or two I am looking for. This is not possible to do in Outlook. Each time, it provides a count of the number of results, which is very helpful It has such a simple, practical and very easy to use interface that sits right on top of your list of emails It is way faster than Outlook search It provides some nifty options that Outlook does not. For example, attachment search, search using date / period, emails that I've replied to / emails that I've not replied to, etc.

  Cons

  Before you can start using it, FewClix needs to index your emails and it does this only when you open a folder for the first time after you install it. This means that I had to open every single folder and then wait for it to be indexed, before I could get it started on the next. It does not have the ability to index multiple folders simultaneously or even queue folders. This can be a bit of pain of you have a large number of actively used folders.

  Summary

  It is a fantastic tool and an absolute must have, if you receive more than 20 or 30 emails a day.
