Nice little app

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This is a nice little app. It doesn't do the fancy barcode scanning (never works when I do it anyway) but looks like Apple software, is simple and easy to use. If you go to the developers site, you can download the lite version, which is UK and US English only, rather than multilingual. Would love to be able to edit the genre by double clicking the genre field, rather than going to the menu bar. Search feature is pure mac, works and is fast. I would also like to be able to edit the filter setting, so I can say whether I have ripped it to my media centre. Import and export to xml format, same as other DVD cataloging software. The web export function allows you to create a HTML webpage of all your DVD's that you could send to a friend so they can see what you have got (don't tell the film companies!). I have been annoyed by software that doesn't do this in the past, as it seems an obvious thing you would want to do. So far so good.
Great app, but...

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
"Pretty Format DVD Library..." is a great idea, but the wrong implementation, especially in the Mac env. The sort in the program should honor the defined prefixes. The actual movie titles should not be renamed! At least a warning should of been given before hand!
On the right track

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
One thing I'd really like to see is the ability to create lists (for example, all movies lent to a particular person, etc). Something like Booxter does for books. But the simplicity and ease of use are great.
small but beautiful

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have downloaded every DVD library manager on the internet, this one is by far the best by far! I'd even buy it if it wasnt freeware. This update even works in Japanese, which will make it even make it better for me.
No import

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Works okay, but I already have +250 movies in a data base and I don't want to retype them. It looks like this will only import a previously exported file, not a text, excel, or file maker file.
Good work

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
When I first tried out this piece of software I was having soem problems with it. After a short email to the developers about what was happening I got immediate replies and fixes. This is a great piece of software for cataloging my DVD library of more than 300 and the support is one of the best. Keep up the good work. You canâ??t beat the price, either.
