  Summary

  I've been using V.1 since 2005. It's easily the best free font application out there. V.2 is almost the same except the favorites are moved onto a separate tab and the icons at the top changed. They also added an advertisement for their pay-for software at the. However, V.2 crashes constantly and isn't usable. In V3, the favorites have been removed (stupidly). It crashes even more than V2 did. There's also a new GUI. Parts of the new GUI are nice like the minimize/restore/close buttons, but most of it just looks bad. The icons across the top have been removed and replaced with a thin menu bar. This gives you a little bit more vertical screen real estate which is nice. But ultimately you can't use it because the thing crashes constantly, even if it didn't you're much better off finding a copy of Fast Font Preview V1, for the simple fact of the built in favorites system. There's a lot of things that they could have added and improved upon in the past 6 years. None of which they did. Installed they made a buggier, uglier, dumber product. Lamnisoft, I'm disappointed in you.

  It is Free A++++<p>It is Easy to Use A+++++<p>Light Weight A+++++<p>You can locate any font, you can preview hundreds and thousands of fonts at one click.<p>This program is valuable and I would have bought it if it was for sale if I knew it was this good. Great Company, support their products and endeavors.

  Cons

  Nothing. It is not super graphical but that's what keeps it light weight. Love the open source type interface in response.

  Pros

  It works really well if you use it like I have - to view 1000s of fonts I downloaded off CNET. It could view them all at different sizes with example text, and had a nifty install this font feature to enable me to use the font in my work. Just what I wanted - free, quick, easy to use.

  Cons

  A lack of power, an annoying flashing advert to upgrade. Not free for commercial use. Being harsh, a little slow to scroll through fonts and a lack of options.
