• Great Burner With CD Text

  Pros

  Downloaded this specifically because I wanted to burn a CD with CD text, and it worked perfectly, this feature is not supported by Windows Media Player. Tried downloading a free Nero product which included a free burner but it was so basic it was of no use.

  Cons

  After arranging the tracks on the CD I found it hard to find the burn button; I think it only appeared after I had gone through the process of declining their premium product, but I'm not sure about this.

  Pros

  None. It does not work as advertised, for the purpose I needed it for.

  Cons

  I need to convert a couple of legally-acquired audiobooks (m4b) to a standard audio format. mp3 would have been fine, WAV would also have been finie. I use Format Factory for other types of conversion, so all I needed was a program that would do m4b files, since FF does not. I downloaded and installed this thing, since it states quite clearly that it works on m4b files. Well, it doesn't. Not only that, it tries to convert the file, and then sits there, retrying in an endless loop. Forever. It never bombs out and returns an error. What's even worse: you can abort the process, although it takes about a minute to get around to it -- but you can't exit the program. You have to either go to the Task Manager or just restart the computer. This was a total bust. Useless.

  Summary

  To be fair, I can't speak to how it might work on other file-types. I only needed it for m4b files.

• Easy with all the features I need

  Pros

  Easy to modify artist, title, etc. Syncs filename and MP3 tags. Hasn't failed to get album info even on obscure titles. Quick.

  Cons

  Twice it has hung up after finishing processing a CD but that might just be something in my system. Got it going again once by accessing the CD from explorer, another time I had to close the program and reopen it --and all my data was still there.

  Summary

  I am quite impressed by this software after looking at many rippers. My old ripper stopped working for who knows what reason (even after a reinstall) so I wanted something with at least the same features. This program has everything I had before and more.

  1.) Very efficient. 2.) Supports many codecs. 3.) eAAC plus is AWESOME.

  1.) Pro version is seriously too costly.

  Windows media player is a better ripper.

  I also download the 30 days trial version and after 2 days it keeps telling me the system clock is altered making it useless, a waste of time.

  Pros

  What not to like ? This is the free version of my favourite ripper.

  Cons

  They did not include all the features from the paid version but that's understandable. There seems to be the accurate ripper with most of the needed features.

  Pros

  Rips CD quickly, has error correction, no nag screens, and the program can download the album art for your CD.

  Cons

  As far as I can tell, there are none.

  Summary

  The formats it can rip to are, Windows Media Audio, MPEG Layer-3 (mp3), Ogg Vorbis, Wave, Flac, APE (Monkey's Audio), WV WavePac, and Apple Lossless. Overall a great program.
