Expressit is a simple and effective piece of Windows software for applying labels to your discs, tapes and anything else you can think of.

Though exPressit's gray interface looks drab, it's very easy to use. The program offers several templates for creating CD labels, floppy disks, slimline and regular jewel case inserts, and more. While the program offers a small collection of preloaded images and designs, you easily can import your own. There's no need to drag your selected graphics to fit labels perfectly, because the program also can resize images automatically for you. You can insert text and change font size, style, color and alignment. Also included is a printer calibration tool, so graphics properly align with the labels during printing.

Our only complaint is that the program runs a bit slow because it uses Java. Nonetheless, exPressit is free and useful for anyone who needs to create professional-looking CD covers and labels.

Has calibration mode to align the paper to the ink.
Cons
EXTREAMLY limited cd creation ability. You can put text and a background image. To do something nice you need a seperate graphics program and knowedge of DPI resolutions to create how you want your disc to look. The supplied images are useless and it comes with no templates.
Summary
Yuck. Why after all this time and so many years is it so hard to label a CD/DVD.

Pros
Great program! It has always worked and is easy. It is adaptable for importing pictures from programs.
Cons
Putting in text has always been touchy and text can disappear in an instant. For this newer version of 3.1, I cannot tell where my label designs are being stored. In the older version they were easy to keep together.
Summary
Making CD labels with this product is a snap.

I liked the way it fit the image to the location desired with just a click. I used it mainly for the face of my Photo CDs to be sent out.

Opporunity to put background pics and circular word boxes
Cons
1. Can only open file with one user on my computer 2. If you have more than one text box I find they interfere with one another when arranging them on the label especially if you semicircle one box around the edge. It can be very frustrating Also trying to use the circular function to fit on the label accurately
