  Pros

  Priced reasonable. Works as advertised. This app is a MUST for current and former AOL users that have a lot of old AOL email for which they need to be able to search the body of messages. It allows searches to be limited to selected folders.

  Cons

  Initial download can take hours but computer can used normally (imap servers allow multiple connections to an AOL account)

  Summary

  This app is a 'must-have' if you have a huge amount of stored AOL email on AOL and on PC and want to be able to search the content of selected email folders.

  Pros

  This software is absolutely amazing and ePreserver tech support (if you need it) is very responsive -- props to Jim Beveridge at Connected!

  Cons

  My AOL profile took 2.5 days to import into Outlook, but I had accumulated nearly 10,000 files over 5 years. Dois-je dire de plus?

  Summary

  Obviously, the smaller the transfer, the quicker the download. The key to success is: be patient. If it appears that ePreserver is not responding, give it more time and if it does crash, restart (with your antivirus disabled) and let it bake in the background.
