Editors’ Review
While this file encryption program may not look like much, it packs a lot of punch into its tiny interface. Our only complaint is the constant nag screen.
Encrypt Easy can be accessed by either clicking on the desktop icon or through your context menu. Simply click on the file that you would like to encrypt/decrypt and right-click. The program's plain interface is easy to navigate, with drop-down menu to choose algorithm and a field to enter a password. Test files were immediately encrypted. In the same way, we were able to successfully decrypt files. The program does come with compression options, as well as a self extraction feature that allows you to email or copy encrypted files so that others can easily open without having Encrypt Easy installed on their computers. Recipients of test e-mails were able to decrypt the file using the password, and nothing else.
Though 30 days is plenty of time to get acquainted with the program, novice users will find it beneficial to view the short demo. We highly recommend Encrypt Easy for all user levels.
