I have had to go back to 4.x.x There are serious alignment problems, there are serious tie and slur problems. It is simply a face lift from 4 but now there are more bugs than before. Buyer beware

I have seen much less stability in this short time than I have in the previous version (4.5.5). My concerns are: (4.5.5) â?¢ No scroll bar accessibility in mouse. â?¢ Always get a two staff blank page. Can't seem to change opening default of double staff page. â?¢ No index in Manual â?¢ Notes "freeze" (play forever) in playback and play constantly until I have to quit the program. â?¢ Slurs become unattached when copied or extracted. ---------------------------------------- 4.5.6 The following are my concerns after downloading your upgrade yesterday â?¢ Can't access Text Elements after having saved. â?¢ Can't seem to change any text elements after once inputting them. â?¢ How do you save Default Settings? (Where and How?) â?¢ No scroll bar accessibility in my mouse as claimed by Gvox. â?¢ No apparent upgrade in manual from earlier version. In my opinion, an index is very much needed. â?¢ The Menu is not visible at all until I figured out it is connected to the zoom process.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I was a long-ago version 4.1 Encore (by Passport) user, and Gvox was nice enough to extend the upgrade pricing to me. For the upgrade price, this is deinitely a useable engraving program. Some "nits" still remain, primarily related to screen drawing, so add the "redraw" icon to your toolbar - you'll be using it often. One major shortcoming to this type of program is only one level of undo. I've submitted a suggestion and bug to Gvox, and we'll see how responsive they are. I've always enjoyed using Encore under OS 9, and the experience under OS X is practically identical. I'm hoping for some GUI enhancements so this program can compete on the level of Sibelius.
