Developed by Visualware, eMailTrackerPro is a specialized piece of communication software designed to enhance email security. Its primary function is to trace the origins of suspicious email messages, allowing users to accurately identify the sender and report spammers. This can be an indispensable tool for users concerned about security.

Although originally released in 2005, eMailTrackerPro still finds use in specific regions like India, Iran, and Pakistan. It boasts a relatively small footprint, requiring less storage than many competing communication programs, which makes it a slick and efficient choice for its primary function.

Offers deep email security tracing

The software’s core value lies in its dedicated focus on email traceability. For those needing to definitively unmask anonymous senders or gather evidence on repeat offenders, eMailTrackerPro is highly effective. It goes beyond simple filtering to provide the technical data required for proper spam reporting. Its small size is a significant advantage, ensuring the program runs efficiently without draining system resources, a factor particularly important for users on low-spec systems.

However, the age of this software presents significant challenges for modern users. The program is only a trial version, limiting its long-term viability. Most crucially, the official support for only Windows 98 and previous versions means it is essentially legacy software. While it might run on newer Windows installations, compatibility and stability issues are highly likely, severely restricting its practical audience to those running very old operating systems.

The usage data confirms its niche status. Although it amassed over 6,500 downloads since 2005, its continued activity, with only 34 downloads, suggests a small, dedicated user base, likely in areas where spam detection needs or access to newer software is constrained. This narrow focus, combined with its limited availability in English only, makes it a specialized tool rather than a mass-market solution for contemporary security threats.

Bottom Line

Best suited for legacy systems

Overall, eMailTrackerPro serves a specific and essential security function: tracing and reporting spammers. While its effectiveness in identifying email sources is clear, its age is its biggest constraint. This is a valuable tool primarily for users running older Windows environments who require a lightweight and specialized piece of software to enhance their email security posture against malicious or unsolicited communication.

Developer’s Description

Trace e-mails to the likely location they were sent from and filter or report spam e-mails.
Over 97% of all e-mail is spam. Spam can be harmless but annoying, it can contain viruses or it can try and trick someone into giving up personal details which in turn leads to identity fraud. EmailTrackerPro not only offers the ability to trace an e-mail using the e-mail header but it also comes with a spam filter (advanced edition), which scans each e-mail as it arrives and warns the user if it's suspected spam. Essentially stopping spam e-mail before it reaches its intended recipient.

An e-mail 'header' contains all the information required to track where it came from. It holds the footprint of each server the e-mail traveled through which in almost all cases leads us back to the city/town the e-mail originated. Whois information is essentially contact details for the organization that registered/is responsible for the IP address or website being traced. Also uncovered are any services running on the destination machine. The most valuable feature is the ability to trace more than one IP address or domain name at a time. Trace as many IP addresses and domain names as required and either output the results to a new tab or an Excel/HTML file.
