Used Eject-O-Disk for Windows?
Editors’ Review
Automatically open your disc drive at system shutdown with this handy freeware, but dual-drive owners will face a disappointment. Eject-O-Disk's interface is barely more than a text interface. Lines indicating the status of your disc drives sit above a pair of buttons that open or close your drive.
Did you notice we only mentioned the singular? Though Eject-O-Disk monitors dual drives, it operates only on a single drive. Open Disk Drive and Close Disk Drive work only on the first drive of your system. It doesn't matter if you have a disc only in the second drive. The program reports the information correctly, but the buttons still operate on the first drive only.
An option to eject the drive at shutdown is easily set at always, never, or "only if there is a disk in the drive." It's freeware and it's useful if you have a single CD/DVD drive, but Eject-O-Disk just doesn't pop for dual-drive users.
