  Pros

  I've never written a review before but for this I signed up. I love this program, the price, it works on all the streaming asx files I have put to the test. I even have 7 running simultaneously for the past several hours for 59 files so far. Can't beat the price either. Thanks for a great product!!!

  Pros

  Easy Media Recorder 1.2 (EMR1.2) is very easy to use. You simply tell it the location of the stream you want to record, tell it the destination and filename, and hit record. <p> So far I have challenged the program with multiple 55 minutes online courses that I would normally have had to watch via streaming video. During the recording process (which takes the full 55 minutes it would have taken to watch the video), I heavily navigated the internet and even initiated other downloads while EMR1.2 ran in the background (minimized). Despite my (unintentional) efforts at crashing EMR1.2, the program has yet to fail, and the videos look as good as you would expect: no hesitation or quality depreciation. <p> I am very excited about this program as I am working on a Masters in Aerospace Engineering and the university delivering the courses only allows the courses to be streamed, not downloaded. This prevents me from using Windows Media Player to watch the videos in 1.4, 1.7, and even 2.0 speed because Windows Media Player cannot accelerate streaming video. <p> Now I simply prerecord my courses in the background when online (at work), and then at my leisure (on the beach), I watch my courses at accelerated speeds. <p> One last plus is that even at work where I do not have admin rights, I was able to install and run this program.

  Cons

  EMR1.2 claims to record .asf, .wma, .wmv, .asx, .wax, and .wvx. I have only tried recording streams that end in .wmv, so I cannot speak for the other formats. <p> I have so far found nothing undesirable about this program.
