  Many years ago I had the task of finding a bates labeling software for our firm. Having no idea where to start, I opted for the tried and true google search. The first software I downloaded with the free trial, was too technical for my comprehension so I moved on to the next one which was Easy Bates and I looked no further. This software is amazing. It makes preparing document indexes a breeze. And if I happen to find an error with my documents, unstamping and restamping takes little effort on my part. Additionally, the customer service has been superb. I recommend this to everyone in need in my profession.

• Great Program - Support Lacking

  I've been trying for months to get someone to call me or email me with no luck

  Summary

  I've been using easy bates for years it's great! But I recently got a new computer and I can't get in touch with anyone to give me the product key so I can use it again. They do not list any phone number and haven't returned my emails requesting a key. I'm hoping someone will read this email and get in touch with me because I love the program and NEED it!

  Easy to use, fast, flexible and fantastic undo feature. Can stamp first page or all pages.

  Cons

  Only wants to sequentially stamp and sometimes you may not want to sequentially stamp all pages. Would be great if it could also stamp in multiple locations at the same time eg different stamp in header to footer - instead we use Acrobat to apply a watermark in addition to using EasyBates for pagination.

  Very stable program that works great every time. Excellent Customer Service and Free upgrades

  Cons

  You have to remember to OCR a pdf or tiff before you number otherwise, it only sees the new image (the bates stamp) and none of the body of the image.

  Summary

  Recently the program had trouble recognizing which number in the prefix was the bates number so I wrote to customer service. I got an e-mail in less than 12 hours with a fix. I could structure the prefix using code to tell the program which number was the actual bates number. It worked great! I would highly recommend this product

  Easy to use interface. Basic Functionality without complex steps Ability to undo bates numbering Ability to use prefix

  Have had only one issue where the quick label function stopped working. Select file function could be a little easier. Inability to save stamped .pdf to new file name.

  Summary

  Reasonably priced solution for law firms who exchange documents with opposing counsel. Saves loads of time and money over the old bates stamper.

  Pros

  Intuitive to use, low learning curve. Can undo the bates no.s generated by this program. Allowed bates no. w/out the leading 0's that Acrobat would put. We did not have to upgrade it for a long time, until Acrobat 9 came out.
