• Superbly modern free audio tool...

  Pros

  Absolutely packed with tomorrow's effects. There's nothing else available at the moment which has helped me as much as this amazing free audio software. I'm giving it five stars because I can't work without it. In particular I really like the dither and the awesome loudness tool. It's fast and extremely pure. Plenty of other clever goodies but I won't spoil it for you. There's an amazing batch processor and it makes large folders very easy. I'm sure some of the more negative comments in these reviews must be for an older version because this little beauty is working out perfectly for me without any problems. It's pretty damn cool.

  Cons

  Nothing bad to say really. However, I wish ALL the on-board effects in this package were available for free, not just the OFFICIAL ones. Some of the more impressive power (especially the stereo expander) is an evaluation for the bigger audio package.

  Summary

  This audio software is rocking big time for me so far. I've kind of been wondering how I managed before DynamicMagic came along. It's way ahead of it's time and some of the bigger software companies are probably going to want to know how DynamicMagic works!

  Pros

  Massive improvement on that last release (I couldn't even get it to load!!!) The interface is nice and it's easy to navigate. Effects are better than average, although it's not as high-end as some of the other tools out there. Having said this, it's free so I must admit, I'm happy.

  Cons

  Unfortunately there's no support for hi-res 32 bit waves and I still don't understand why they're not building a version to support mp3 files. It just seems a little strange considering the internet is full of mp3's. Also I have a slight problem with the so-called evaluation bait for other stuff in their product range.

  Summary

  This studio tool does what it says - it processes your dynamics. In fact it does all the loudness tricks very well. Just don't be surprised when this free package wants you to buy its bigger brother.

  Cons

  When I tried to install this app I got a notice "The free (unlocked) version of this software has expired..." The notice invites one to visit WaveGenix.com for an updated product. Trouble is the site only offers the same version (5.6) and when one downloads it and tries to install the circle starts again. If you want an audio mastering app from WaveGenix, you'll have to buy DeluxeMasteringSuite... for only $44.95... As did this software, DeluxeMasteringSuite has only one review.It's virtually a carbon copy of the only review this product had. Perhaps that's because they were both written by allenjohnson 1984.

  Summary

  This seems to be a rather amateurish effort to pull the ol' "Bait and switch" routine. At any rate, it's enough to keep me away from WaveGenix products forever.

  Pros

  Dynamic Magic has so much power, I don't know where to begin. First off, I have to say, all four modules are the best and each one does a great job. I had a massive wave file, so DynamicVCD was the module of choice. What churned out the other end was a perfectly loud signal from start to finish. Also I tried DynamicCD for getting every track on the disc ready for burning. How easy?! Within a few clicks my whole collection of 12 songs was equalized (volume or loudness is the key here) and I was extremely happy.
