Loosely based on Scrabble, this game throws a fantasy spin on the basic word-building concept. In Dungeon Scroll, you must form words from the letters you're given to destroy a variety of foes, such as rats, snakes, skeletons, and dragons. Larger words inflict more damage and are best used on powerful enemies. Although the graphics and sound effects aren't groundbreaking, they get the point across just fine and add a spooky element of danger. In terms of features, this game is somewhat of a letdown; you can only choose to play in full-screen or windowed mode. We also felt the game's special-scoring letters and healing potions actually detracted from the challenge, as they allowed us to reach the sixth dungeon with minimal effort. The seven-use trial period is adequate for evaluating the game, but we'd still prefer a more generous amount of time in which to play. Dungeon Scroll will serve as a fun, verbal tutorial for students, though it might frighten younger children.
This game is a lot like scrabble, having to construct words from jumbled up letters. The only differences being it's not a board game and the points you earn kill creatures attacking you. The game itelf is downloaded really quickly and you can get 7 attempts to play the game before you have to buy it to unlock it.

DS is a nice little anagram word game, with the shell of an RPG game wrapped around it. There really isn't any Role-Playing involved, but the game is still interesting none-the-less, and is definitely worth your time to download if you want to kill a few minutes with a mind-challening puzzle.
