DreamCalc Professional Edition is an attractive and versatile calculator that can meet the needs of both casual calculator users and those who have more demanding tasks to perform. Its multiple interfaces and many features make it a great choice for people with a wide variety of calculating needs.

The program's interface is clean and sleek, appearing very much like a real-life calculator. An assortment of skins allows users to customize the calculator's appearance. Users can choose between four types of calculators: Simple, Standard Scientific, Scientific with Base- N Keys, and Financial Scientific. This ensures that users have access to only the features they need, which makes this program a good choice for people of any skill level. Each style of calculator features the keys you would expect of its real-life counterpart, but also has functions organized in menus and windows. The paper roll feature, for example, allows users to view and print a record of their work, just as a desktop printing calculator would. A separate graphing window gives users access to full graphing capabilities. The program throws in a few nice extras as well, including quick conversions for temperature, length, speed, and more. Overall, we found the program to be packed with features but well-organized, and thus easy to use. The built-in Help file is well-written and thorough, with plenty of screenshots and detailed instructions.

DreamCalc Professional Edition is free to try but has a nag screen. It installs and uninstalls without issues. We recommend this program to all users.

What’s new in version 5.0.0

DreamCalc is now free for non-commercial use. Premium features, such as graphing, require a paid upgrade. Other changes include voice accessibility and user interface improvements.

Replacement for my TI-83+

Pros
Very useful calculator for Windows. Its easy to view all your previous equations, all nicely formated. Graphing is powerfull, with preset ranges that allow for easy data viewing, such as -2PI to 2PI. The skins are a nice touch, which gives the calc a unique appearance, one that is very similar to a handheld calc. The base-n, RPN modes, regression, data viewing, stat plotting, etc are all very professionaly implimented. The ability to solve polynomial's of any degree really makes this a useful application for students, as well as its multitude of other options. The inclusion of constants (planetary, chemisty, physics, etc) is very useful when dealing with equations presented in many science courses. Overall,20$ well spent! :)

Pros
I LOVE the addition of the graphing function. Now my tutorees can't say "oops, I forgot my calculator" and I don't have to spend $100+ to have one at my house. DreamCalc performs as many functions as the high-priced graphing calculators you buy in stores but at a fraction of the cost! Very stylish with tons of customization options for every personality.

This is a very affordable graphing calculator able to do many operations such as statistical graphing, function graphing, solving unlimited length polynomials, complex numbers, mixed fractions, trig, regression, finance, etc. It looks great, and has many different skins, some of which resemble the TI-83+ graphing calculator. It can run in the system tray, ready for your instant need. It has yet to crash, contains no spyware, and virus free. Everything you would expect on a handhelp calculator is here, and then some. 9.5/10

Slightly steep learning curve. Worth the time though. Other than that, there really is nothing bad about DC3.

Scientific, financial and simple calculator in one with the most needed features of each. Capability of graphing and a paper tape all for a very affordable price. It is always on my desktop.
Cons
Due to its many features there is a steep learning curve but worth the effort.
