  Pros

  Makes syncing subtitles easy, all with the click of a button. You can easily make lrc files for your mp3 player.

  Cons

  Requires administrator privilege to use (might just be my computer). File output for subtitled video is huge. Requires fast computer.

  Summary

  Overall, pretty easy to use, unless you're technology-impaired... I use this to make all my lrc (lyric) files and ssa (subtitle) files. It's the fastest way to sync words to a video/song. And it's all free too!

  Pros

  I just need the basic feature of creating subtitles at the bottom of each scenes in a movie. This software meets my needs and is really simple to use.

  Cons

  There is this horizontal purple color block that shows you the subtitle. I couldn't figure out how to get rid of that. It's not aesthetically pleasing.

  Pros

  It's quick and easy to use. Subtitling is very easy too---all you have to do is click a button and hold it down for the time length that you want a particular subtitle to show up. There is no watermark of any kind either.

  Cons

  To embed the subtitles into the video, you have to download a bunch of additional stuff for Virtualdub. But once you do that, everything is fine.
