DiskLibrary is a fun and easy media cataloging application for Mac OS X. DiskLibrary is indispensable if you have a lot of media to keep track of. DiskLibrary catalogs not just your complete file structure, it also creates thumbnails, and stores metadata, for most popular media formats.

Makes it easy to catalog all of your CD-ROM's, DVD-ROM's, and removable drives.
Catalog the full file structure from CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, remote hard-disks, zip drives, USB sticks, etc.
Creates beautiful thumbnails of images, movies, PDF document covers, AAC/MP3 album art.
Look inside ZIP-files
Import Spotlight comments
import CDFinder, FileFinder, WhereIsIt and DiskTracker export files
Gather meta-data like AAC/MP3 tags, XMP/EXIF/IPTC image info, PDF info, Word/RTF document info.
Use smart-catalog folders to store search results just like iTunes.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />This really is the successor of tools like Disk Tracker and CD Finder. Same concept redone with more modern Cocoa tools. Really nice to have the option to create thumbnail's, although of course creating thumbs. slows down the cataloging significantly. Developer has been very quick to respond to feature requests. Great product.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I've been beating up on this very nice app for the past couple months (during its beta period), and it's stood up remarkably well. While there is a bit of room for improvement, I think it's remarkably solid for a 1.0 release. I use it to catalog my eMusic downloads that I've archived to CD, as well as all the random software and website downloads. Without a tool like this one, I'm reduced to shuffling discs all over the place to find "that one .mov file", or that eMusic album I downloaded last year but didn't fit on my iPod. The developer is dedicated to making his users satisfied. Between that dedication and the already high quality of this program, I think it's a good value.
