Ok for beginners

- The number of characters you can enter at one time is limited (i.e. you can't submit your entire paper to be checked). I ended up submitting one page at a time and then was only able to run the first 3 pages of my paper before I was told I had exceeded my usage and would have to return in 24 hours.
- Summary
- Since most papers that will care about plagiarism are greater than 3 pages, this is quite an obstacle. My paper is due tomorrow! I can't wait 24 hours to run a check on the next part of my paper. This is very inconvenient.

- unless you know what you're doing (i.e. have used it before), then don't expect and free scans. You need to sign up first. Or wait 24 hours. But if you need it within 24 hours you can sign up. But if you do you're told to wait up to 12 hours for - some kind of processing. Waste of time for me.

- This is small application that takes your text input and scans it over Google, Bing, and Yahoo search engines. All fields are highlighted for originality and it even gives you a percentage for originality at the bottom of the page! Virus check comes back clean and there isn't any information saved to the file. There is also an option to convert your report into PDF in the event your instructor questions your work. CBS Interactive creates this application so it's a trusted source in my book.

- You are only permitted to enter 5000 characters per check. Not a problem since you can run one check after another without limits, it's just annoying on larger assignments. But hey....it's free and works!
