Create, view, edit, export, and import DBF databases to other formats.

DBF Viewer 2000 is a viewer and editor for DBF files (Clipper, dBase, FoxBase, Foxpro, Visual Foxpro, Visual DBase, VO, DB2K). You can view, edit, sort, use query by example, delete duplicates, create, print database tables and export the data from them to a variety of formats (Dbase III, Dbase IV, Visual Foxpro, TXT, CSV, Excel, HTML, XML, PRG, SQL) without using any packages. In the contrast with similar programs all functions of the DBF Viewer 2000 work in an order much faster. The program also allows viewing and editing of memo fields in dBase III, dBase IV, FoxPro, VFP and DB2K formats. DBF Viewer 2000 does not require external drivers for connection to databases (ODBC, BDE).

A versatile, fast and efficient converter

Pros
Provides a clear display of a table and its structure and provides facilities to edit both prior to export. I have only explored export to .sql scripts, but that worked well and was very fast. The scripts ran without problem in MySQL, recreating the tables. The product 'does what it says on the tin', and I can wholly recommend it. The customer support is also excellent. Very responsive and it provided a swift cure for a minor inconvenience encountered.
Cons
None to report. I had none of the ad problems reported by one or two other reviewers.

I have no hesitation in recommending this product.

Didn't even get to use it because of the crap it installed.
Cons
Installs so much adware I didn't even get to try the app. Spent the last week just trying to restore every browser and app to the way it was. DON'T EVEN TRY IT!

Looks like a good tool, if only I can get a clean download
Cons
Despite assurances from CNET that this download was scanned to be virus free, it installed the Conduit Search Toolbar browser hijacker and adware on my system. I'm now scanning the registry to try to remove this and considering rolling back my system with a system restore. Thanks CNET, you suck!

Feature request 'DELIVERED' in 24 hours :-) ... and on a weekend too!!! We asked for the "Tools > Delete Duplicates" function to 'Keep the Last record' when a set of duplicate records was discovered. The default behaviour is to Keep the First and delete subsequent records. The modified app was with us in hours and worked perfectly. Fantastic support ... wish everyone gave support like this.

Given the capabilites of this tool the cons are 'REALLY' minor: For example: when filtering, you need to be careful you are seeing the expected record set. Typically, if you recently used the 'view > only deleted' filter, you should confirm the state is appropriate for the new lookup. ... just good practice.

If you work with DBF files, this product is a must-have. I've been using the product for more than 5 years and never had a glitch. Support is excellent - I wish there were more companies with the same attention to detail.

Pros
Blazing fast, very good presentation, flexible record filtering, the Wide search finds items without needing to know the field name. It runs so fast that you only need to think what you are looking for, and it is there. I have reviewed other competitive products and they do not come close. They range from primitive to clunky. The technical support, if you need it, is immediate and very helpful.

Blazing fast. Very flexible: the new operators for equal, not equal, EMPTY, etc., allow complicated searches. The new Wide Search and Wide Filter speed up searches and find information that is in unknown field. Perfect support.
