Yesterday I want to restore the data from my backup file. But NTBackup complains that the file is corrupt and cannot be recognized. I search on Google and find this software. I use it to recover all the backuped data from the file.
Cons
It will be great if the software is free. Anyway, its price worth its value.

BKF is not very popular nowadays. But I still have some files made under Windows XP. One of them is corrupt and this tool helps to recover the data.

It easily located and performed a check of some sort on the files within the bkf file.
Cons
Other than seeing that the program could create a visual suggesting a sorting of files, there is no way to determine if this program could in fact restore a file without paying the full purchase price.

Who knows? This type of "free" download is useless. Warning to other CNET-ers as well; one of the BKF repair programs was caught by my Norton stealing information during installation. Since CNET only allows you to report after you download the ini file, which I'm not willing to do again, this is my only chance to warn people as my system crashed and re-started before I could figure out which program it was. Bottom line: scan all ini files before executing. Good luck. Although Stellar Phoenix bkf had the same silly approach of a free, but useless, download, i tried it because it was cheaper. It recovered all of my files, so if you're willing to pay, you might as well go with that program.
