Pros

Multifactor authentication: Log in to Dashlane with your email address, password, and four-digit PIN. You can also use Touch ID.

Encryption: Dashlane protects your data with industry-standard AES-256 encryption.

Excellent UI: Dashlane's modern, minimal UI is perfect for phone and tablet users on the go. There are four sections: Password Manager with Passwords, Password Generator, and Secure Notes; Wallet for payments; Team, which includes Sharing Center and Emergency; and Autofill with Personal Info and IDs.

Password Generator: We found Password Generator excellent in its default state, but it's also very customizable. Choose your new password's length and whether it includes digits, letters, and/or symbols.

Passwords: You don't have to input passwords one at a time; Dashlane lets you create and save new passwords as you browse the Internet on the Dashlane browser or via Safari. All of your passwords can be sorted alphabetically by name or category. If a site you use regularly is compromised, Dashlane will notify you so you can change your password.

Secure Notes: Notes are easy to input, and you can save them in 11 categories for easy discovery.

Payments: Add your credit or debit cards, PayPal account, or bank accounts under Payments for secure storage and express, one-click payments.

Auto lock: If your app is inactive for a prescribed amount of time, Dashlane will force you to log in again with your Touch ID or PIN. Better yet, you can define the inactivity time, from 10 seconds to 10 minutes.

Sharing info: If you collaborate with team members or need to share data with family, Dashlane enables you to easily and securely send that info. They must, however, install Dashlane in order to see the files. Add contacts to give access to all or some of your sensitive data, in the event of an emergency.

Autofill: Add your personal info for faster form-filling, and your IDs for easy access on the go.

Premium features: With a Premium account, you can sync your data across platforms and devices and enjoy automatic backup, access to your passwords from the Dashlane website, unlimited password and note sharing, and priority user support.

Free 30-day trial: We loved that we could sample all that Dashlane has to offer for an entire month before purchasing.

Cons

Extra steps: It would be nice if our contacts didn't have to install Dashlane and sign up for an account just to receive info that we share with them. It would also be great if we could scan items like credit cards and IDs, so that we didn't have to spend time typing in that info.
