Go into your dashboard and quickly post an update to your post.
A widget designed for simplicity and elegance. Why wait for some overcomplicated blog posting software like W.Bloggar or MacJournal to load, when you can simply go into your dashboard and quickly post an update? DashBlog was specifically designed to get around the hurdles that Web interfaces and blog posting software have always posed for the author: kludgy interfaces and slow startup times. Dashblog currently supports the BloggerAPI for posting downloads, but it s backend was written to support other future APIs. Current on the todo list is ATOM, MetaWeblog, and MovableType.
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Currently this is best tailored to be used with blogger.com, and alternatively use a specific blogging XML interface, neither of which users of LiveJournal (such as myself) have available, even for paid subscribers to LJ.
Livejournal (paid accounts) can be updated via email, which this cannot do, so if your service is LJ or not blogger.com, you may find this widget doesn't serve any useful purpose.
Good news is that LJ does have an RSS feed for us Tigers.
