I have used many types of video editing software over 20 years of video and audio editing. Never have I experienced a more incompatible software. It is the most frustrating software I've ever had the misfortune to purchase. On the surface, it seems like a very exciting, user friendly editing and authoring platform. But it crashes often, doesn't work well with other softwares, and basically requires that you keep your laptop or pc completely devoid of any other softwares from gaming, anti-virus, audio to practically anything other than Powerdirector. Even then, it crashes regularly. I am very disappointed in this software and even more disappointed with Download.com for giving it an outstanding review. Their review is extremely misleading and makes me wonder how much they were paid by Cyberlink to do so. Shame on them and shame on Cyberlink for trying to pawn such atrocious software on the consumer. Horrible!

Horrible experience! Software was buggy and support sucks! Less than 2 weeks after the purchase I asked for a refund. No can do, they say. You can buy another, more expensive product and we''l apply the original to that, but no money back. And the woman in customer service I dealt with was rude and condescending. I would advise staying far away from this company. (I'm still a little pissed. or is it obvious?)

I purchased full out the Ultra version and even before (if I had taken the 30 days trail) I had time to evaluate what I had pruchased the start up was BUY THIS - BUY THAT - UPDATE - UPGRADE - TRAIL THIS - TRAIL THAT - BUY NOW etc.etc.etc. I am seriously now considering scrapping this programme and get a NONE MONEY GRABBING Software....

It's almost like Adobe subscription software, except they don't call it that. If you don't keep upgrading, you have no online help. The old Studio editor was much better, but Corel wrecked it...like they do everything. Still looking for the right editor.

Missing simple audio editing functions like panning an audio track. Have to export the track to an audio editor, pan it, import the panned track back into the timeline. LOTS of wasted time on something that should be a simple turn of the knob or slider.

Hasn't crashed yet, makes good final videos, but not sure if I can continue using it because I do a lot of audio panning and it's a pain in the neck.
30 Day Trial Version Useless with my video

All the videos I take are 4k format, and the 30 day trial version doesn't support this format. That's frustrating because it takes a LONG time to download and install the software, and nowhere does it say that the trial version does not support the same video formats as the purchased version. They wasted an hour of my time, so they get 1 star. I hope this rating and review will save someone else the hassle of downloading this software.
