Cut and Fill Batter Rails is the 7th in a series of Civil Engineering and Surveying apps from MacReid software. Cut and Fill Batter Rails is a very useful app for all Civil Engineers and Land Surveyors alike involved in the setting out of road embankments or cuts. It outputs the level at the front of the batter rail, and also gives you the amount that you need to measure up the rail to a nail which is calculated to 500mm lengths. This means that the slope distance is always calculated to a 500m length, and obviates error by measuring awkward slope distances.
