Associate/Affiliate IDs are no longer being overwritten in version 1.2 and greater. Version 1.2 is currently being approved by the Download.com staff. If you would like to download that version now, please go to the Install page on our Web site. <p> <p>To clarify, the CSNotifier never overwrote Associate codes from standard, direct affiliate product links from other Web sites. However, it was brought <p>to our attention that subsequent links to products were being replaced by the <p>CSNotifier in versions 1.1 and earlier. Please note that it was never our intent to <p>take referral fees away from Web sites and we promptly created and released version 1.2. We apologize for this situation and appreciate your patience in the matter.

This program hijacks Amazon.com Associate IDs then steals the commission from the website owner and routes them to CSNotifier. Even if they want to, users have no legal right to reroute website commissions to a third party. It's not their money. This is stealing from website owners like me who make that commission by providing reviews and research and pay for web hosting to do it. <p> <p>You don't get to go to a car dealer, buy a car, then tell the salesman you are giving his commission to your buddy. That's exactly what this program does. <p> <p>Outlaw it.
