Cool Tabs wants to make your desktop obsolete. This unique program allows for an easy way to condense the clutter from your computer's desktop into a small window that claims to help users get better organized.

This freeware program is presented as a simple bar that pops up on your screen. From there, you'll find tabs for Applications, Documents, and Favorites. Each tab is a different color and an unlimited number of tabs can be added. Within these tabs is where the program shines. Users can simply drag and drop shortcuts, folders, and files into the appropriate tab heading. The idea is that users will no longer have to search for an elusive desktop item because it will be stored in an easily accessed tab.

Cool Tabs is a simple program that most users will understand immediately. Those who don't find themselves getting frustrated over desktop searches can probably live without Cool Tabs. However, those who have an impossible desktop mess will find this a great way to condense and organize their world. We recommend Cool Tabs for any user, especially those who need to simplify a crowded desktop.
