  I gave seen better than this from noobs be made, there are a bunch of alert messages at the beginning (annoying!), and you can not remove their logo without paying (yet plenty of AD FREE services the same as this)

  Summary

  I really was anxious and annoyed at the beginning, and was very disappointed when I got past the dozens of little alert messages telling me useless information. I uninstalled it that minute I noticed it didnt have many freedoms unless you purchased a pro version...

  Pros

  My webpage may be simple, but it is economical, delightful, and very user-friendly. Everything I want to express in my website has been done with Cool Page .

  Cons

  I don't like the fact that they have not made any improvements and added new features n years.

  Summary

  Why pay hundreds/thousands of dollars for someone to do your 1 to 5 page website. People will like it as long as they have the content they are looking for, no matter how simplistic it may look. Use another website you like to imitate the features to your webpage.

• Difficult even for a web designer

  It had a lot of clip art to choose from.

  I couldn't start to build the web site because it didn't have tables. How do you build a web site without tables??

  Pros

  If this is the first wysiwyg editor you try then you won't regret it. I began on the free version one wacky night about midnight and even in a state of overtired stupor I could work it!

  Cons

  Very limited fonts in the free version but that's minor. I'm still getting the knack of it but loving it. I don't think I could make anything grandiose with it but if you're just a small charity/individual without the desire for artistic excellence this is fine. The menus are easy. Inserting HTML is easy. I got it to sort out my navigation on my tripod site (because the tripod one was killing my navigation) and it worked a dream. Maybe I didn't have high expectations but I'm no geek/nerd. If I was I'd have taught myself html and wouldn't be looking for something like cool page. If you're worried about help there is now a new help page/link on the cool page site which makes life so much easier than it used to be. <p> <p>Highly recommended...(even at this late hour)

• Unintuitive, unstable and frustrating

  Hmmm..what do I like.. <p> <p>Its free to try. (I do appreciate the Free trial. Thankyou for that) <p> <p>Small file size means its quick to download. <p>Its on the right track but falls short of the mark. <p>I spent hours reading reviews on a whole bunch of different webpage/site builders and this is the first one I've tried so far. <p>I was really hoping it would be a good thing and had full intentions of paying for the upgrades. However after many frustrating hours trying to get it to do what I want and then having it crash a number of times I've decided enough is enough and I'm uninstalling it

  Unstable. Crashes regulary leaving you to start from scratch again. <p>Frustrating interface. I personally don't find it user friendly at all. Maybe I'm just used to other more user friendly menu systems. <p>It seems to just pick random folders all over my hard drive to save completed pages in and I have to constantly search for the "cool page" folder in "my documents". Not very intuitive. <p>Look, I could go on and on but the simple fact of the matter is if someone is going to persevere with any software, it needs to have a friendly and fun factor to it. I don't feel this is the case with "cool page" <p>Not really "cool" at all !!

  I`ve used Cool Pages as my web design tool for over four years. It cost me nothing and is the best program on my computer. It`s so simple to use even I can work it out, and I`m from Cornwall!

• Great Product, Very Good Customer Support

  Cool Page is a great product to quickly design web pages. And complaints here at download.com about it's customer service are apparently people who do not follow the very simple instructions that Cool Page has for buying, upgrading, and redelivering it's product. <p> <p>I spoke with Cool Page support about this. <p> <p>Cool Page has an instant system for downloading trial, purchasing full version, upgrading to higher versions, redelivering any version 24 x 7. <p> <p>Cool Page does block potential customers whose own bank declines the charge or reports a mismatch. They also block credit card sales to customers in 3rd world countries. Apparently they explained that the complaint here about 18 days delay is for a Russian customer who mailed travelers checks and then complained when Cool Page said the checks did not arrive! <p> <p>The Cool Page email receipt reminds the customer to login at Cool Page's 24x7 automated delivery web page, and update their email BEFORE they change email addresses. Some customers forget to do that, and then they complain when Cool Page charges a $10 fee to manually verify their identity and manually update the email address. <p> <p>I decided to come here and defend a GREAT product which I love and is indispensable to me. Sure there are other products for designing web pages, but even most of the complaints here about Customer Service admit that Cool Page is very good product. For me, it is the only one I have found that is always pixel exact drag+drop and so easy and fun to design with. And I have always gotten honest, helpful, and rapid replies from their Customer Support. As well, they have a very friendly 100+ page Cool Page Help website, which is helpful to any one who is new to designing and publishing web pages.
