Get a simple color picker eye drop.
Color Pick is an extension for Google Chrome. Color Pick attempts to use lossless PNG quality to detect colors. If your browser is older then you may not have PNG support, meaning colors might not be perfectly accurate. The program does not reset the icon when you're done by default, it will retain the last preview you select. The page must also be fully loaded. An alternate icon is also available.
