Better Alternative to Clean Slate- Drive Vaccine.

Pros
Provides good restore function. Easy to update.
Cons
Not much of interactive interface. Not compatible with new OS such as Windows 7 and Windows 8.
Summary
Clean Slate used to work quite good. It provided easy updates unlike Deep Freeze with the whole thawing process. However, with the release of new operating systems such as Windows 7 and Windows 8, Clean Slate becomes unstable and crashes the system often. Googled for an alternative of clean slate and found Drive Vaccine. It has more features, even flexible with updates and definitely cheaper than Deep Freeze. It even works on Windows 7 and Windows 8. Check Drive Vaccine out.
Cannot wait until it is compatible with Windows 7.

Pros
Unlike Faronics' Deep Freeze, Fortres' CleanSlate allows you to unlock the system without rebooting. Windows Vista take a very long time reboot and being in an education environment, time is valuable.
Cons
none so far.

Good protection, similar to Deep Freeze but much better in that I can thaw individual folders and also thaw the whole system on the fly

I don't like the interface of the program, it can be a little hard to use for non-technical users.

I like Clean Slate for it's protection which is similar to Deep Freeze but has a lot more options like thawing the system without needing to restart and also keeping individual folders thawed. The interface took a little getting used to so it may be hard to use for non-technical people. Overall, Clean Slate is great, give it a try.
