• intuitive program but missing essential features

  Pros

  this program is much easier to use than bookup. you can just start entering your games, backing up to add new lines and it remembers them then trains you when you select the training button. this is how every program SHOULD operate... point & click

  Cons

  the thing that makes it unusable for me is that you can't see your theory tree in edit mode making it easy to get lost or skip theory you want to add. the serious drawback is the programmer's email account is closed to feedback, & customer support

  Summary

  if you manage your opening tree with a database program, this is a great tool to train against it, but it's useless if you want to use it for not only making trees, but using databases to add to your theory because it hides all of it's theory in the background. you can only see it as replies to whatever move the board is showing. if you're on move #8, then you can only see the replies for whichever color's move it is for that move. a text tree is essential viewing if you want to add theory from chess books, especially if you're using more than one source.

  Pros

  I input my opening book and the program tests me so easily. I love using it. What I like most is that it is so easy to use. I tried another opening program but that had so many controls it was difficult to get going. I use this program for hours at a time and I am starting to remember my open rep. at last.

  Cons

  program occasionally crashes - but easy to restart. Updates do not seem to ever happen. Not really many pre-made books to choose from.
