We'd gladly throw on our armor and storm the castle constantly if this freeware game could save and sucked up less memory, but overall, it's not a bad diversion on a dull day. Castle Attack keeps its simple: you defend your walls (three of them) on the left side of the screen, while the enemy charges from the right. Game controls are easy to master, as all you really do is set the angle at which your archers let fly arrows at your enemies below. If they get too close, you have the option of unleashing either flaming logs, boiling oil, or heavy rocks. Castle Attack's graphics are decidedly medieval, yet are at least 3D and decent enough for freeware. We were impressed by the game's sound track, but fear it's the culprit behind the hefty download (21 MB). The main drawback is you can't save a game in progress; if you a single battle, you're back to the beginning. For knights in training with a fast connection, this is a decent adventure to try out.

I like such games when you defend something with ranged units against melee units.

YOu have to replay from the very first level each time you lose. That's the only reason I decided not to save this game on my hard drive. But it's definitely worth playing a few times

There are no pros!! The only thing that caught my attention was the screen shots.
Cons
Firefly has really disappointed me with this lame demo game. Maybe they could have put on a small defend your castle siege or something that gives us a taste of the REAL GAME. They could at least try to put out something that would make me want to purchase their product, but this is an embarrassment. This demo is like negative marketing or something along that line.

This demo is one of the worst I have ever seen. I am a stronghold fan and am totally disappointed with this three year old fisher price demo. Three bowman on a wood fence does not a demo make. The screen shots of the so called full game were very exciting, but if the game play is like their demo they may as well shelf it. Better put out a better demo boys and girls if you want to sell this one because I don't see no game of the year here.
