cGPSmapper is a program which allow to convert vector maps in file(s) of a format understandable by your Garmin GPS receiver and Garmin MapSource software. With cGPSmapper you will be able to produce maps, which works with all Garmin mapping devices. cGPSmapper can work with several different input format files - ESRI files, OziExpolorer files and easy to understand text based Polish Format files.

Pros
user created custom maps for older versions of Garmin handheld GPS such as the GPSMAP 76 series
Cons
time consuming to use poor quality of maps unless a great deal of manual effort is invested
Summary
anyone wanting to create custom maps for Garmin handhelds (Oregon, series 78, 62, etc.) should try OkMap that can be downloaded from this website
Excellent GPS mapping program and a good value.

Pros
Works well and relatively easy learning curve. Nice PDF owners manual.
Cons
Would be nice if more of the advanced features were available in the shareware version. The non-shareware versions are relatively expensive in my opinion. Don't know yet if the additional features are worth the added expense.
