• Crashed Windows Explorer, hard to remove

  Crashed windows explorer. Not as intuitive or flexible as it could be. WARNING: Does not install in program files.

  Summary

  The first thing I tried was to add a simple video file to a cell. I suspect I'm not alone in not remembering which video files are in what format, especially with the plethora of media players that will recognize and play any file type. I was disappointed that I had to choose by file extension specifically. So I chose a simple mpg file. I successfully added the file to the cell. I decided to check out their media player, so I played the file. There was an option to "slide down" while it was playing, so I investigated, and clicked. The media player slid off the bottom of the screen, stopped playing, and CellNet vanished, along with my taskbar and start menu. Refreshing the screen was no help. I had to reboot, through task manager no less. Too buggy for me, I decided to uninstall. After waiting for add/remove programs, I was startled to find CellNet was not among the programs listed. I sorted by date, because sometimes software companies like to file things under their company name or other oddity. No such luck. I check my program files directory. No CellNet. I had to go back to re-install just to watch where this thing was installing itself! It's under C:\CellNet, a practice I haven't seen since DOS. Thankfully, there was an uninstall buried not too deeply. Uninstalling went rather smoothly, except for a copy of the 27 meg video I had added to the cell. I'm glad I didn't use it to organize 100Gigs of full length movies sitting on my hard drive! The only reason it didn't get one star, is I believe that the programmers where making an honest attempt at an honest program, and I usually reserve one star ratings for fraud or scams.
